We were invited to the Bishop's place at Smith Mountain Lake for a fun and exciting long weekend. We brought our camper too. We all had a blast on the jet skis, inflatable boats & rafts, kayaks, etc... The weather was gorgeous! The main event was a specially planned party for Joe & Rita Bishop's 40th wedding anniversary. There was a beautiful wedding cake, a sweet video of their lives together, music, great food and an amazing bang at the end. This was the only down part of the whole weekend. Well, let me explain what I mean! Sunday night, the party was wrapping up, I had Jared in the camper asleep, and I was settling in for a movie. Then, Andy's cousin's car came barrelling down the driveway unattended. It hit Rich's truck which sent it careening into Toby's camper. The car continued down the driveway only stopping after hitting Mr. Bishop's truck. UGHH, what a nightmare! I know that insurance will take care of it, but I am so thankful that one of the kids was not strolling by. It could have been so horrible! The weekend ended great with more lake time on Monday. Boy was it hard to go back to work today. The pictures are all courtesy of Holly, since I never can seem to remember to take any pictures when I am having so much fun!
